Makkah and The Sanctified House of Allah (The Ka`abah)
The Holy Qur`an says about Makkah and Ka`abah:-

“Lo; the first sanctuary appointed for mankind was that Makkah, a blessed place, a guidance to the people. Where in are plain memorials; the place where Abraham stood up to pray and whosoever entereth it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind for him who can find a way thither.” (Al-Imran; 96-97)

“And remember when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (Holy) House, saying: Ascribe thou nothing as partner unto Me and purify my House for those who make the round and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration (Al-Hajj : 26)
